The 2-hydroxypyridine induced cells were suspended in 10 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.2, supplemented with 15 mM glucose and 0.25 mM of corresponding substrate. Reactions were carried out at 30 °C. The progress of each reaction was observed by HPLC-MS.
