Multiplex PCR was performed with DNA isolated from 65 pooled cloacal fecal samples, 3 samples containing chromosomal reference DNA, and 2 negative control samples. The samples tested by multiplex PCR were analyzed by both capillary electrophoresis and hybridization to microarrays. +, positive signal; −, no detectable signal; ×, not done.
