Flow cytometry analysis demonstrates that sigE reduces cell surface gE protein expression. HaCaT cells were transfected with 70 nM siRNA and then infected with 25 PFU of WT or gEnull HSV-1 (where indicated). On day 2 postinfection, the cells were harvested for flow cytometry.
