Frequency of ocular health scores—data at BL and a short time (28 days) post-MSC transplantation. Ocular discharge, hyperemia, corneal opacity, and vascularization were graded as absent (0), mild (1), moderate (2), or severe (3). Eyes were classified according to the severity of KCS at presentation into mild–moderate (A; n = 15, STT >4 mm/min) or severe (B; n = 9, STT ≤4 mm/min). The Wilcoxon matched pairs test was used to compare scores at BL and after treatment with MSCs; *p < 0.05 or **p < 0.01.
