Vimentin Depolymerization. Oxidative stress induces accumulation of 57 kDa Ser55 phospho-vimentin and decrease of dephosphorylation of vimentin tetramer. APRE-19 cells were treated with 100 μM, 200 μM and 500 μM H2O2 for 1 h. Vimentin is used as a loading control. Quantitative analysis shows that vimentin exists as a phosphorylated tetramer (220 kDa) in control, whereas dephosphorylated monomer (55 kDa) or phosphorylated monomer (55 kDa) under stress condition.
