Knockdown of MTOR reduces LPS-induced inflammatory responses in HBE cells. Cells were transfected with the indicated siRNA for 24 h, and incubated with 100 μg/ml LPS for an additional 24 h. Cells were then harvested for analyzing the mRNA expression of IL6 (A) and IL8 (B) by quantitative real-time PCR. Cell culture supernatants were analyzed for IL6 (C) and IL8 (D) by ELISA.
