Ava5 cells were treated with GSE combined with IFN-α, telaprevir, daclatasvir, or sofosbuvir in a fixed ratio for 3 days. The combination treatment of anti-HCV activity was analyzed by qRT-PCR. The CI value for the effective dose of 50% (ED50), 75% (ED75), or 90% (ED90) inhibition was calculated by using the CalcuSyn computer program. Results are expressed as the mean ± SD for three independent experiments. The calculated CI values indicated that CI < 1, CI = 1, and CI > 1 represented synergism, additivity, and antagonism on anti-HCV activity between the two agents, respectively.
