See Materials and Methods for details. (A) Reactions were triggered by addition of 10 mM MgCl₂ and incubated for 1, 2 and 4 h (lanes 3–5). (B) Reactions were triggered by 10 mM MgCl₂ and/or 1 mM MnCl₂ as indicated and incubated for 2 h. A λ-HindIII DNA ladder was loaded as a size marker, and the expected size of the Bam35 TP-DNA product is also indicated.
