Fasting C-peptide levels (ELISA, reference values: 0.9–7.1 ng/mL) and HbA1c levels (high-performance liquid chromatography, HPLC), reference values: 4–6%) over time (months of treatment). Treatment with sitagliptin and vitamin D3 started at 0 month. Point A – interruption of insulin glargine and lispro (patient #1), point B – interruption of insulin glargine (patient #2). All tests were performed in the same clinical laboratory (Carlos Chagas, Cuiabá, Brazil).
