Effect of lunasin on interleukin (IL)-6 and macrophage chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 secretion in 3T3-L1 adipocytes stimulated by tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α. (a) Inflammatory activation of 3T3-L1 adipocytes was achieved by stimulation with TNF-α, and cells were treated with lunasin at the same time for 24 h; (b) IL-6 and MCP-1 production in supernatant was measured by ELISA; Correlation of lunasin dosage and cytokine quantity is presented in the Table 1. Data are shown as mean ± SEM. Statistical analysis was tested by one-way ANOVA and then Fisher’s LSD test; significant differences are presented as * p < 0.05 or & p < 0.005 versus control group.
