To measure the heat energy associated with the binding of the HCD peptides to lipoprotein particles, ultracentrifugally isolated human lipoproteins (80 uM) were injected into the calorimeter cell containing peptide (8 uM) and binding energy was constantly monitored. Isotherms of HCD peptides binding to isolated human LDL (A). Isotherms of FLANK and B38 peptides binding to isolated human LDL or HDL (B).
