The diaphorase‐type activity of mitochondrial complex I showed no significant change in sperm from asthenospermic and oligoasthenospermic men. The diaphorase‐type activity of mitochondrial complex I was determined by the oxidation of NADH to NAD + and the simultaneous reduction in a dye which leads to increased absorbance at 450 nm was then analysed. The diaphorase‐type activity of mitochondrial complex I was expressed as the change in absorbance (ΔmOD/min) per 100 μg protein of sperm homogenates loaded into the well. Histogram shows no significant change, P > 0.05, compared to N.
