E14, E15, E16 and E17 SMGs were removed from embryos, immediately fixed, and subjected to ICC for SM α-actin (red), ECAD (green), and staining for DAPI (blue). The immature OCC epithelial cells do not express detectable SM α-actin until the E16 stage, coincident with the vertically compression that occurs as they differentiate into myoepithelial cells.
