Honey bee samples were collected from 5 different colonies over one year. Protein samples extracted from the heads and abdomens of foragers and nurses were detected by Western blotting using anti-AmAChE1 and anti-AmAChE2 (a). The expression rates of AmAChE1 were normalized by calculating the expression ratio of AmAChE1 vs. AmAChE2 in foragers (b) and nurses (c).
