Study participants were subjected to a sugar-based permeability test. Ratio of lactulose and rhamnose (L/R ratio) was determined in 5 hr urine samples of subjects without indomethacin stressor (day-3) or with stressor (day 0) before intake of the permeability test. Mean ± SD of L/R ratio without stressor = 0.058 ± 0.037 and with stressor = 0.098 ± 0.056. Differences tested with Linear Mixed Models, adjusting for repeated measurements for each subject.
