Effects of subsaturating inhibitors on 3MG uptake

The Michaelis-Menten kinetics of 3MG (0.1–5 mm) uptake by RBCs was measured in paired experiments in the presence or absence of WZB117 (0.7 μm) or CB (0.025 μm) and analyzed by nonlinear regression using Equation 2. Each data point (uptake measured at each 3MG concentration) averaged three or more measurements made in duplicate. R2 for all fits was ≥0.994. Results are shown as the mean ± S.E. and as 95% confidence Intervals for Vmax and Km(app) under all conditions.
