LU treatment protocol and experimental design.

Notes: Female nude mice were inoculated (iv) via tail vein with MDA-MB-435 or MDA-MB-231 (4175) LM2 (LM2) TNBC cells on Day 0. LU (10, 20, or 40 mg/kg), or vehicle alone, was injected (ip) every 48 hours until termination of study (Day 51 or 42). Please note that animals administered LM2 cells received initial loading dose of LU in the form of daily injections for the first week and then LU treatment was continued every 48 hours. At the termination of the study, animals were sacrificed and the lungs excised for analysis.
