Simplified working model for cell elongation through a network of HLH-bHLH proteins. Previous studies (Tanaka et al., 2009; Wang et al., 2009; Zhang et al., 2009; Ikeda et al., 2012) and data provided by this study were used together for the construction of the model. The formation of a hexameric complex was drawn based on yeast two- and three-hybrid results with pull-down assays in this study.
