Effects of dietary walnuts on lipid peroxidation in mice fed HFD for 6 weeks. Equal amounts of whole tissue lysates were used to determine the levels of MDA+HAE in (A) cytoplasm or (B) mitochondria from the livers of the indicated groups. (C) Representative immunohistochemical analysis results of hepatic lipid peroxidation determined with the anti-4-HNE antibody in all indicated mouse groups are presented. All results are presented as mean ± SEM (n=6/group). Significance was determined by one-way ANOVA with the Tukey’s post hoc test (P<0.05) and is denoted by different letters.
