Radiolabeled CDV (10 μCi) was added to the cells to a final concentration of 50 μg/ml and 3 days later a methanol extraction was performed. CDV metabolites in the methanol soluble fraction were separated by means of HPLC. Methanol insoluble fractions were digested with NaOH and the amount of CDV incorporated into genomic DNA was measured with a scintillation counter. Mean CDV incorporation and metabolites of at least 4 experiments and SEM are given in pmol per million cells.
