Relative expression of cell cycle control genes in naive and memory CD8+ T cells following antigen stimulation. Transgenic splenocytes from naive and immune chimeric mice were harvested and stimulated for 24 h in vitro with 1 μg of GP33-41 peptide/ml. Following stimulation, the cells were stained with anti-CD8 and anti-Thy1.1 antibodies and sorted, and mRNA from each population was harvested and analyzed as described in the legend to Fig. 2.
