MBD3 inhibits EMT through suppressing TGF-β/Smad signalling in pancreatic cancer cells. (A) MBD3 knockdown in PANC1 and PaTu8988 cells induced EMT, as detected by a decrease in E-cadherin and increases in Vimentin, α-SMA, Snail, N-cadherin and β-catenin. (B) Treatment of PaTu8988 and SW1990 cells with Flag-MBD3 reversed EMT, as defined by an increase in E-cadherin and decreases in Vimentin, α-SMA, Snail, N-cadherin and β-catenin.
