C.G. lingzhi produces a wealth of active secondary metabolites including hundreds of ganodermic acids. Ganoderic acids A and H have been shown to suppress the growth and spread of breast cancer (Jiang et al. 2008). Ganoderic acid T has been shown to induce mitochondria-mediated apoptosis in lung cancer cells (Tang et al. 2006).
