Inactivation assay of T4 phage using purified lipopolysaccharide (LPS). A solution containing 3 × 107 T4 phage particles was mixed with 35 μmol/L of LPS purified from the E. coli strains indicated at the bottom and then the inactivation assay was performed as described in Experimental Procedures.
