Light Louisiana sweet crude oil (LLS) was directly added at a final concentration of 200 ppm. SW- filtered surface water; SI- unfiltered surface water (inoculum); BW-filtered bottom water; BI- unfiltered bottom water (inoculum). 20 ml of filtered water and 2.5 mL of unfiltered water/inoculum were added. Water samples were filtered through 0.20 μm polycarbonate filters. Incubation was conducted at 4 or 24°C in the dark.
