St3gal2-null mice display increased locomotor activity. Open-field activity of 6-month-old WT and St3gal2-null (null) mice was automatically quantified over a 24-h period using photometric beams. The first 12 h represents the dark cycle and the last 12 h the light cycle. Null mice were significantly more active than WT (P < 0.005, two-way ANOVA). *P < 0.05, Tukey post-hoc analyses.
