Confluent PNMEC cultures were incubated × 24h (A) in the absence (open bar, 0.01% ethanol) or presence (closed bar) of 10 μM activated lovastatin or with (B) 40 μg empty (open bar) or 40 μg lovastatin-encapsulating nanoparticles (closed bar). Relative changes in RhoA GTPase and RhoB GTPase mRNA content were quantified by RT-PCR. Data shown are the means ± SEM (n = 3) and are expressed as GAPDH-normalized fold-changes. *, p < 0.05, Student's t-test.
