Effect of chrysin on melanoma cell mitochondrial membrane potential. Melanoma cells (SP6.5) were treated by chrysin at 0, 10, 30 and 100 µM for 48 h, and the MTP was determined by JC-1 staining. The results (R/G ratio) were expressed as the percentage of cells not treated with chrysin (mean ± standard deviation from three independent experiments). Chrysin reduced the R/G ratio and decreased the MTP in uveal melanoma cells in a dose-dependent manner. *P<0.05 vs. the control (cells cultured without chrysin). R/G ratio, red fluorescence/green fluorescence ratio; MTP, mitochondrial transmembrane potential.
