Severity was based on the amount of architectural change, cellular infiltration, and the presence or absence of necrosis: 0, none; 1, mild; 2, mild to moderate; 3, moderate; 4, moderate to severe; 5, severe. One section from three mice per group was evaluated. The evaluation of tissue sections was done in a blinded fashion.
