Images of USAF 1951 test chart through a uniformly scattering layer acquired using (a), (b) a single-mode optical circulator and (c), (d) a DCFC show identical smallest resolvable elements (horizontal: Group 5 Element 6, 8.77 μm; vertical: Group 6 Element 2, 6.96 μm). Images were acquired at the focal plane of the final scan lens (f_s in Fig. 1(b) and 2). Anisotropic lateral resolution is a result of dominant chromatic aberration in the vertical (spectrally encoded) dimension.
