NIR reflection spectra from four developed skin models at varied V melanin and V water. The skin model 1 and the skin model 2 were the Caucasian skins (lower V melanin) with normal hydration (higher V water) and dehydrated (lower V water) respectively. The skin model 3 was the African skin (higher V melanin) having normal hydration (higher V water) while the dehydrated African skin (higher V melanin and lower V water) was for the skin model 4.
