Motility in A. baumannii is controlled by OmpR/EnvZ. Cultures were grown in LB medium (−NaCl) to an OD600 of 0.3, and a 1-μl drop was then applied to the surface of 0.3% Eiken agar (−NaCl) plates, after which the plates were incubated at 37°C for ∼9 h.
