Asiatic acid induces cell protective autophagy. (A) and (B) A549 cells were treated with asiatic acid (20, 40, 80 μmol/L for 12 h or 80 μmol/L for 6, 12, 24 h) and protein expression of LC3 and p62 analyzed by Western blot. (C) and (D) A549 cells were treated with various concentrations of asiatic acid for 24 h with or without 3-MA and CQ pretreatment (2 h). The MTT assay was used to evaluate cell viability.
