Cellular RNA isolated from parental and CREB-deficient (shCREB) HER-2/neu and HER-2/neu+ cells was subjected to qPCR analysis as described in Materials and Methods. Using gene-specific primers the expression of two angiogenesis markers (VEGF, angiopoetin 1) as well as two adhesion molecules linked with angiogenesis (ICAM-1, VCAM1) was determined. The results represent the mean and SEM from three independent replicates. The expression was normalized to β-actin and the data are expressed as relative mRNA expression by setting the expression levels of NIH3T3 cells to 1.
