The elevation above sea surface or depth below sea surface of the sampling is indicated in meters. During PIRATA FR24 (DOI 10.17600/14002100), RARA AVIS and BERMUDA, the anemometer was installed above the weather station: the height of the wind measurement was 18, 15 and 15 m, respectively. No continuous seawater measurements were carried out during the ACTIV cruise, but regular measurements have been done from manual measurements. No wind measurements have been done during the ACTIV cruise. The data acquired during the STRASSE cruise are published in Benetti et al.18,19.
