Plasmidic localization of bla_{CTX-M-1 group} genes in the relevant isolates. (A) Whole genomic DNAs of a CTX-M-15-carrying E. coli isolate used as a positive control (lane 1), P. mirabilis isolate 34146 (lane 2), and P. rettgeri isolate 39465 (lane 3), were digested with S1-nuclease, and the restricted fragments subjected to PFGE. DNA fragments were transferred to a nylon membrane and hybridized with a probe specific to bla_CTX-M (B). The arrows indicate the bands of interest.
