The coverage represents the percentage of human proteins in a given compartment that contain at least one InterPro motif.
The motif frequency is calculated as the total number of motifs in all proteins in a given compartment divided by the number of distinct motifs found in proteins in that compartment.
The motif compartment specificity index is calculated as the number of distinct motifs that are unique to a given compartment divided by the total number of distinct motifs in that compartment.
