Influence of Env reactivity on HIV-1 sensitivity to CD4mc. The HIV-1_JR-FL variants were incubated with the indicated concentrations of CD4mc, and the virus-compound mixture was immediately spinoculated onto Cf2Th-CCR5 cells. After 48 h at 37°C, the cells were lysed, and the cell lysates were assayed for luciferase activity. The results represent the mean values from triplicate data points and standard deviations and are reported as the level of luciferase activity relative to that seen in the absence of the CD4mc. The results of a typical experiment are shown; the experiment was repeated with similar results.
