Preoperative abdominal MRI plain scan showed the presence of a space-occupying mass in spleen, with a maximum cross-section of 9.4 cm × 6.9 cm. Part of the mass invaded the greater curvature of stomach, and part of it had blurred margin with the tail of pancreas. It showed restricted diffusion on DWI sequences.
