A very low or no fluorescence signal was detected when cells were incubated with increasing concentrations of free AF dye. A-1, A-i depicts blue fluorescence (refers to nucleus stained with DAPI); A-2, A-ii depicts green fluorescence (represents AF compound); A-3, A-iii 3 depicts merged images of A-1 + A-2, and A-i + A-ii, respectively.
