ARF1 but not ARF2 interacts genetically with PAB1. (A) Δarf1 or Δarf2 haploid strains were crossed with Δpab1Δspb8 strains. The resulting diploid strains were sporulated and tetrads dissected. The spores were grown for 2 d at 30°C. (B) ARF1 and PAB1 were chromosomally appended with either yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) or cyan fluorescent protein (CFP). The resulting strains were grown to early log phase, and serial dilutions were spotted on YPD plates. The plates were incubated at the indicated temperatures.
