Fig. 1 — Example of a strain curve. The figure displays typical curves of the radial, circumferential endocardial and longitudinal endocardial strains. In addition to the segmental strain curves, the mean strain curves are given as dotted lines and are highlighted by red arrows. The global peak systolic strain values result from the average of the segmental peak systolic strain values. The measurements were obtained from the short and long axis acquisitions of a 16-year-old girl with a BSA of 1.34 m²
