Differential antigen-dependent production of proinflammatory cytokines in Pla2r1^−/− mice. Isolated lung leukocytes were cultured in the presence of OVA or saline for 24 hours and cell culture supernatant was assessed for cytokine release. There was an OVA-induced production of the cytokines, IL-2, IL-4, and IL-17, in WT mice exposed to OVA. The production of (A) IL-2, (B) IL-4, and (C) IL-17 were significantly decreased in OVA-restimulated cells isolated from Pla2r1^−/− mice relative to OVA-restimulated cells from WT mice.
