Blockade of PD-1 pathway restores gene expression. (A–D) Purified peripheral CD4⁺ T cells from HCs (n = 4) and patients with sarcoidosis (n = 5) were stimulated by cross-linking with plate-bound anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 Ab and cultured for 5 days in RPMI 1640–supplemented medium succeeding overnight incubation with or without PD-1–blocking Ab.
