The apoptotic effects of secondary amines (P6–P10) on HASMC were determined by Capase 3/7 assay. Cells in 1% cDMSO served as negative controls and those exposed to staurosporine (Stau) (100 µM in cDMSO) served as positive controls. The fluorescence intensity at ex 380/em 500 nm was measured using a micro plate reader. Results are expressed as the percentage of 1% cDMSO control and mean ± SE. * p <0.05 versus 1% cDMSO.
