Table 3.

The melting temperature (Tm) and melting enthalpy (ΔHm) measured by DSC of GCC, G5mCC, and G5hmCC core DNA constructs in solution. The entropy of melting (ΔSm) for each construct is calculated from the Tm and ΔHm by ΔSm = ΔHm/Tm, with the assumption that at the melting temperature, the concentrations of folded and denatured DNA are equal and, thus, ΔGm = 051.
