mRNA levels of NKCC2 cotransporter in cortex (a) and medulla (b) of sham and BUO rats. Total RNA was isolated and NKCC2 and 18S mRNA were assessed by RT-PCR analysis. Relative mRNA levels were quantitated, and NKCC2 levels were normalized to 18S mRNA. Ratios are represented in graphical form, and the data are representative of four experiments.
