The arrows indicate the purified recombinant proteins; (B) Peak 1 was identified as the only product of TwNES with FPP as the substrate, peak 2 was the only product of TwGES1 with FPP as the substrate, peak 3 was the only product of TwNES with GGPP as the substrate, and peak 4 was the only product of TwGES1 with GGPP as the substrate; (C). Mass spectrums of peak 1 and 2 were identical to the mass spectrum of the nerolidol standard, and the mass spectrum of peak 3 and 4 were identical to the mass spectrum of the geranyllinalool standard.
