Effects of electroacupuncture (EA) on neurological function of rat models of spinal cord injury (SCI).

BBB scale scores were used to assess the neurological function of rats, with higher score representing better neurological function. Data are expressed as the mean ± SEM (n = 11 per group at each time point). **P < 0.01, vs. the sham group; ##P < 0.01, vs. the SCI group (one-way analysis of variance followed by post hoc least significant difference test). BBB: Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan hind limb locomotor rating scale. The sham group underwent laminectomy only, the SCI group underwent laminectomy + SCI induction at T10, and the EA group underwent laminectomy + SCI induction at T10 + EA intervention.
