Posterior distribution characteristics. Maximum posteriori probability (MAP) estimate as well as the 2.5 and 97.5% cut-off values (95% credible interval) for the posterior distribution of r is plotted for all GM volume and GABA measures for which analyses could be performed using an informative prior. Note that although evidence was found in support of the null hypothesis for several factors, posterior distributions indicate that effect sizes may simply be smaller than originally reported and that the original findings thus may not be false positives.
